Key Responsibilities: Operate within the companys integrated management system, policies, and procedures. Foster a strong operational-commercial partnership to meet project needs. Monitor and manage financial risks and associated budgets. Oversee performance standards and quality control. Secure subcontractors at competitive rates, optimizing procurement efficiency. Build lasting relationships with clients and their representatives. Encourage cross-department collaboration through effective communication and adherence to company procedures. Develop a clear understanding of contracts and project scopes, ensuring alignment among project team members. Establish a strategic procurement approach in line with contract timelines, continuously monitoring and adjusting as needed. Prepare and submit timely applications for payments to support cash flow management. Ensure the recovery of retentions per contractual agreements. Identify opportunities for added value and submit timely pricing proposals to maximize returns. Conduct proactive cost and value reviews with site teams to maintain accurate forecasting. Provide guidance and development support to other project team members. Required Skills & Knowledge: Contract awareness and financial acumen. Familiarity with tendering and procurement processes. Knowledge of quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations. Experience: Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor in a civil engineering environment. Experience with dispute resolution (desirable). Understanding of CVRs and financial reporting (desirable). Technical Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Evision, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Business Collaborator). Ability to navigate company-specific cost management systems. Training & Qualifications: Full driving licence. Comprehensive understanding of NEC3, NEC4, ECC, ICE, and JCT contracts. Preferably HNC or degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management. Membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) (desirable).
