Senior Sous Chef – Events & Hospitality | £40,000–£45,000 + Bonus | Canary Wharf
We're working with a leading events and hospitality group that is expanding its portfolio with a brand-new central production kitchen and event space in Canary Wharf, also supporting a prestigious nearby venue.
This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious Senior Sous Chef to take ownership of a high-profile role, leading a small brigade and delivering exceptional food experiences for corporate events in one of London's most dynamic locations.
The Role
As Senior Sous Chef, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a production kitchen, supporting senior leadership in delivering bold, creative menus at scale.
You'll be highly visible to senior stakeholders, with the chance to showcase your skills, contribute to menu development, and play a key role in shaping the future of the culinary offering.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a small team of 2–3 chefs in the delivery of high-quality event catering.
Ensure smooth daily kitchen operations across large-scale events.
Work collaboratively on menu innovation, flavour development, and presentation.
Mentor and inspire junior chefs, setting and maintaining high standards.
Balance creativity with operational efficiency, cost control, and planning.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in events catering or high-volume hospitality.
A chef who is organised, flexible, and solutions-focused.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a small team.
A passion for creativity and delivering memorable culinary experiences.
Ability to thrive under pressure and work collaboratively with senior teams.
The Package
£40,000–£45,000 salary depending on experience.
20% performance-related bonus.
48-hour contract, mainly Monday–Friday, with two evening finishes per week.
25 days holiday + bank holidays.
