Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lecturer to join our dynamic School of Creative and Performing Arts. This role teaches across Levels 2 and 3, with potential additional hours within our Higher Education provision. The focus is to develop students' acting skills, deepen their understanding of the performing arts, and support progression into higher education or employment. As Course Leader for Level 3 Performing Arts - Acting, you will oversee course planning, delivery, and assessment, and act as a personal tutor, providing academic and pastoral guidance to students. A key aspect of the role includes leading and directing end-of-year showcases and productions, offering students the chance to perform in professional-standard performances and gain valuable industry experience.

Responsibilities

* Lead and direct the Level 3 Performing Arts - Acting course, including planning, delivery, and assessment.
* Act as a personal tutor, providing academic and pastoral guidance to students.
* Develop and deliver teaching across Levels 2 and 3; contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and enrichment activities.
* Coordinate end-of-year showcases and productions, providing students with professional-standard performance opportunities and industry experience.
* Foster an inclusive, creative, and motivating learning environment; engage and inspire learners across multiple levels.
* Contribute to the college's Performing Arts provision and collaborate with colleagues on program development.

Qualifications and experience

* Substantial experience teaching Performing Arts, particularly acting.
* Proven ability to engage and inspire learners across multiple levels.
* Experience in acting for TV and film production is desirable but not essential.
* Strong organisational and leadership skills; ability to work within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
