About the Role
If you are looking for a new challenge, come and join our growing team providing quality care for patients across the whole endoscopy pathway, including pre‑, peri‑ and post‑endoscopic procedural care. Endoscopy is a constantly evolving area delivering a wide range of upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, bronchoscopy and thoracoscopy, and is the centre for the Dorset Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high‑standard, patient‑centred care across the endoscopy pathway.
* Work flexible shifts and participate in out‑of‑hours on‑call service when competent.
* Collaborate with a large, dynamic multidisciplinary team that includes Nurse Endoscopists, Gastroenterology Consultants, Colorectal/Upper Surgical Consultants, senior doctors and a nursing and HCSW team.
* Maintain professional development and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of 12 months experience in an acute setting.
* Previous endoscopy experience is advantageous but not essential; training and competency assessment will be provided.
* Excellent communication skills and a flexible, team‑player attitude.
* Commitment to personal development.
Working Conditions
* Base staff at Royal Bournemouth Hospital; may be required to work across sites at Poole and Wimborne.
* Flexible shift patterns and on‑call duties as per clinical need.
* Recruitment does not offer sponsorship; relocation as part of the New Hospital Programme is possible with no excess mileage reimbursement.
