Operating Theatre Team leader/Sister in Orthopaedic Trauma. Band 6
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 ODP team leader/Theatre sister in General theatres, with our Orthopaedic Trauma speciality.
About the Role
We require a professional, flexible, motivated and committed person who is capable of leading a theatre team and delivering high‑quality, patient‑focused care within a busy, progressive and varied department. The post holder will support the Clinical Nurse manager and other Band 6 colleagues with the ongoing responsibility of managing the speciality and junior team, and will also participate in the day‑to‑day coordination of the General Theatre Department both during and outside operating hours.
This is a 24‑hour service, covering weekends, evenings and nights, working closely with the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Theatres.
Trauma experience is essential.
The General Theatre Department undertakes a wide range of specialities in both elective and emergency settings, including ENT and Maxillo‑Facial, Plastics, Vascular, General Surgery (upper GI/Colo‑rectal and Urology) – including calls and weekend working.

Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Shift working includes out of hours, nights, weekends, bank holidays and on‑calls.
Preference will be given to staff with ‘Priority’ and ‘At‑Risk’ status, including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon.
