Golf marshal - Job Description: Golf Marshal Needed By: March 2026 Hours: 32 - 40 hours/week, various times throughout the day. Starting date: ASAP Rate of Pay: 12.21 - 12.71/hour About the Role Do you enjoy fresh air, friendly banter, and being surrounded by golf balls that usually go where they're meant to? Wycombe Heights Golf Centre is looking for a Golf Marshal to be the welcoming face and watchful eye of our course. This role is equal parts ambassador, problem-solver, pace-of-play champion, and unofficial course therapist. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Greet golfers with a smile, a wave, and the occasional gentle reminder about course etiquette. Keep play moving smoothly and diplomatically (you are the calm in the storm of slow fourballs). Monitor tee times, spacing, and general flow of play. Help golfers find their way around the course - and occasionally their golf balls. Ensure course rules and safety standards are followed (firm but friendly). Act as extra eyes and ears for the management team, reporting any issues on the course. Answer questions, offer guidance, and deliver top-tier customer service at all times. Comfortable spending several hours outdoors in all "classic British weather" conditions. Confident communicator who can handle tricky situations tactfully. A basic understanding of golf (or a strong willingness to learn). Reliable, punctual, and proud to represent Wycombe Heights Golf Centre. Nice-to-Haves (But Not Required) Previous golf or customer-facing experience. The ability to spot a slow round from three fairways away.
