Finance Business Partner (Controller) - Brixworth, Northamptonshire – F1 / Motorsport
This amazing initial 12 month contract for a Finance Business partner is to support our Advanced Technology division, focusing on Automotive and Motorsport R&D Projects that support the Group’s movement towards more sustainable road cars.

We need this person to:
* Work within our clients Advanced Technology division, focusing on Automotive and Motorsport R&D Projects that support the Group’s movement towards more sustainable road cars
* Report key financial information to internal stakeholders to allow them to make informed business decisions
* Finance business partnering for the Advanced Technology division, working with engineering and operational stakeholders (internally referred to as Controller).
* Ensure all project costs are controlled and reported.
* Provide full costings for potential new projects to support with quotation process and external funding requirements
* Support UK Government Grant funding applications and submissions, looking for new opportunities for additional funding which will maximise profitability levels
* Develop complex data models using softwares such as Alteryx, Power Query and Power Bi, that deliver weekly forecasts and accurate insights into project cost variances
* Work closely with Project Leaders on resource planning and costing, ensuring all projects stay within their headcount budgets and resource is used effectively across all projects
Therefor we need you to be skilled at:
* Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders
* Time management, especially when managing a variety of topics in parallel
* Excellent presentation skills with ability to present complex information to senior level stakeholders in a compelling and concise manner.
* Analysing and interpreting large volumes of financial data
* Automation and continuous improvement of reporting processes.
* Building and costing business cases.
* Effective problem-solving skills
You will need to have experience of:
* Being analytical in cost control.
* Management accounting, including budget setting and forecasting.
* Fast paced working environment
* Manufacturing background / Engineering R&D (preferable)
You will also need to demonstrate knowledge of:
* Managing a monthly / weekly forecast and associated reporting requirements.
* Costing various scenarios, analysing variances and presenting information (written and verbal) to senior stakeholders
* Understanding complex financial scenarios and be comfortable at modelling them accordingly
* Providing financial information in a fast-paced environment
* Continuous improvement, automating processes to increase transparency and efficiency
* Experience of SAP, excellent Excel / Power Query skills, Power Bi
You will need to be qualified in:
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ICAS qualified (part qualified considered by exception)
* Academic background in numerate, economic or business based subject
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience and post qualification
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Management Accounting
