Role Description
This is a full-time Lecturer in French Film Studies role based on-site in London. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate modules on French Film Studies, conducting research and publishing in the field, and contributing to the supervision of postgraduate students. Additionally, the Lecturer will engage in curriculum development, departmental activities, and outreach initiatives to enhance the visibility of the French Film Studies program and the university's broader academic community.
Qualifications
* Expertise in French film studies, including theory, history, and key cinematic movements in the French-speaking world
* Proven record of high-quality research and publication in French Film Studies or related fields
* Experience in developing and delivering engaging and innovative teaching methodologies
* Ability to conduct academic research and secure external research funding
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
* Strong organizational and time management skills to balance teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities
* A Ph.D. or equivalent qualification in French Film Studies, Cinema Studies, or a closely related discipline
* Experience in academic collaboration and interdisciplinary research is a plus
