We're looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead the reopening of a well-known wet-led pub in the heart of Billingshurst.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new venture, bringing fresh energy to a pub that has been closed for a period and is ready to reclaim its place at the centre of the community. Sport, community spirit and great hospitality will be at the heart of everything we do.
The Pub
A traditional, wet-led venue with huge potential. This is a pub that should feel like everyone's local. After a period of closure and time for refurbishment, the pub is nearly ready to reopen with a new lease of life.
The Role
As General Manager, you will:
* Lead the full reopening journey – from pre-launch planning to a standout opening week
* Build, train and inspire a strong front-of-house team
* Create a welcoming, community-first culture
* Drive wet sales and maximise sporting calendar opportunities
* Develop an engaging events schedule
* Take full P&L responsibility
* Ensure high standards of compliance, cellar management and operational excellence
* Be the face of the pub in Billingshurst
Who We're Looking For
You'll be:
* An experienced General Manager (wet-led experience essential)
* Commercially astute with strong financial understanding
* Passionate about sport and community engagement
* Hands-on and visible on the floor
* Confident leading a team and building morale
* Experienced in driving wet sales, promotions and event nights
* Skilled in cellar management and stock control
* A natural relationship builder within the local area
