Inspire students with special educational needs as a SEN Teacher in Southbourne! SEN Teacher Location: Southbourne Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time Are you an experienced educator with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? GSL Education are actively seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher to join a welcoming specialist school based in Southbourne. About the Role: The appointed SEN Teacher will work with pupils who have diverse and complex learning needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language challenges, and SEMH difficulties. You will play a key role in delivering tailored lessons, supporting emotional development, and helping every child achieve success in their learning journey. As a SEN Teacher, your responsibilities will be: Create and deliver differentiated lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs Use EHCPs and support strategies to guide planning and teaching Support personal, social, and emotional development in the classroom Collaborate with learning support assistants, therapists, and external agencies Track student progress and provide ongoing assessment and feedback Maintain an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages independence and growth Special Needs Teacher Requirements: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification Proven experience working with students with SEN, ideally in a school setting as a SEN Teacher Knowledge of SEN teaching approaches, behaviour management and curriculum adaptation Excellent communication, patience, and organisational skills A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare Why Join GSL: Competitive pay scale matched to experience Dedicated support from a knowledgeable recruitment consultant Opportunities for professional development and specialist SEN training Access to long-term and permanent roles in reputable schools To thrive in this role, you should: Have the right to work in the UK.
