We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school team. Responsibilities
* Planning and delivering engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable)
* Teaching a range of DT specialisms such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, or food technology (depending on expertise)
* Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring high standards of progress and achievement
* Promoting creativity, innovation, and resilience through hands-on projects and practical work
* Maintaining a safe and well-organised workshop/classroom environment in line with health and safety requirements
* Contributing to the wider school community, including extracurricular clubs or projects such as STEM, engineering, or design challenges
Qualifications
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Have experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level
* Be passionate about design, innovation, and practical learning
* Have strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Design Technology Teacher
* Be adaptable, proactive, and committed to raising achievement in DT
