What's involved with this role: Job Title: Business Support Admin Officer Ref: Guildford 5277664 Pay rate: £13.17 per hour PAYE Role length: Anticipated 3 months DBS requirement: Basic DBS The role: We are looking for a professional, who has experience of housing repairs, who can provide business support to the housing repairs team who are always busy helping tenants with a wide variety of enquiries. In order to carry out this role, you need to be a proactive and organised individual with strong administrative, interpersonal, and IT skills, be confident with people, attentive to detail, and capable of working independently, as well as having some knowledge of housing repair issues. Training will be available for this role. Key responsibilities: Provide direct support to tenants, understanding the issues they are reporting, trying where possible to help them resolve simple issues themselves Provide access to tradespeople when a fault needs a repair and getting the tenants the help they need. This can be from dripping taps to badly damaged properties in need of extensive repairs Provide direct support to customers on the telephone and through correspondence Assess and process housing repairs work on the Orchard system Update changes to repairs work jobs Liaise and work flexibly with the Housing Repairs Team and contractors Work effectively with other specialist teams across the council Process invoices, liaising with contractors, answering enquiries Providing updates to customers and prioritising jobs in conjunction with the Team Leader and caseworkers looking after repairs Administrating queries, arranging repairs, new tenancies and swaps for the rental garage stock What the client is looking for: Knowledge of housing repairs A proactive approach, with strong administrative skills Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with people Conscientious attitude and attention to detail A good standard of numeracy and literacy IT skills are essential, knowledge of any housing software such as Orchard would be beneficial Good organisational skills with the ability to take the initiative How to Apply: Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
