As a senior member of the Urgent Treatment Centre, you will be expected to manage the assessment, diagnosis and the implementation of a range of highly specialised care for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems visiting the unit.
To provide clinical expertise, professional leadership and education, ensuring high standards of evidence-based practice at all times.
Manage the unit on a day-to-day basis in the absence of the Operational Lead.
Many aspects of the work will be complex, with the post holder being expected to prioritise their work in the face of competing demands for their time and limited resources
To take lead responsibility for an area of practice, liaising with leads on other sites and attending relevant meetings and disseminating information to team members.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a band 7 Senior Nurse / Paramedic Practitioner with proven leadership skills who can work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of patient focused care within the standards set out by both government and trust policies.
The department can be busy and diverse in an ever-changing environment and we are looking for highly motivated members, to join our team, who are adaptable to clinical change on a shift basis.
You should have the ability to work autonomously, ‘’think on your feet’’ and take responsibility for the unit, being willing to develop and expand your clinical practice within the service guidelines.

1. First Level Registered Nurse / Registered Paramedic HPC
2. Degree or relevant experience.
3. ENB 998/Preparation for mentors
4. Evidence of relevant specialist courses and continuing professional development (minor illness/minor injury at degree level
5. A&E radiology, Imaging Regulation and Initial
