Occupational Therapist Position at Ifield School
Ifield School has an exciting opportunity to appoint a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and professional Therapy Team. The role involves working with pupils aged 4-19 who have profound, severe, and complex needs. Ifield School is an outstanding institution committed to supporting individuals in developing their sensory and motor skills, and provides ongoing training for staff. The successful candidate must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
The Therapy Team plays an integral role in our school and offers the following services:
1. Implementation of Occupational Therapy provisions for pupils from reception to Sixth Form (based at The LINK Centre within North Kent College, Gravesend Campus).
2. Provision of resources to support pupils’ sensory regulation needs.
3. Delivery of therapy groups, e.g., fun with food, zones of regulation, and fine motor skills.
4. Training for staff and families.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, supporting pupils, sourcing equipment, liaising with parents/carers and multidisciplinary teams, producing reports/plans, and attending meetings.
This is a full-time, term-time-only position, with working hours from Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The salary is equivalent to NHS Agenda for Change Band 5/6 (pro-rata), depending on experience.
