Info about the companyWere working with a well-established engineering company based in Oxfordshire, developing safety-critical electronic products used globally across industrial environments.They are currently expanding their production engineering team and are looking for a Line Support Technician with strong fault-finding experience to support manufacturing operations and product reliability.* There is no visa sponsorship available for this role, and a UK driving license is required*Info about what the Line Support Technician role entailsThis is a hands-on role centred around keeping production running smoothly by resolving technical issues as they arise. Youll act as the first point of contact for faults on the line, diagnosing and repairing electronic assemblies down to component level while investigating recurring issues to identify root causes and prevent repeat failures. Alongside this, youll support and maintain production test and assembly equipment to minimise downtime, while using production data to spot trends and drive improvements in reliability and efficiency.
Youll also play a part in introducing new products into manufacturing, ensuring a smooth transition into production, and will document your findings through clear technical reports outlining faults and corrective actions.Essential Requirements of a Line Support TechnicianExperience in an electronics manufacturing, test or repair environmentStrong fault-finding skills to component levelAbility to read schematics, circuit diagrams and technical documentationGood understanding of production test equipment and processesHands-on experience with soldering and reworkDesirable Requirements of a Line Support TechnicianExperience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (ISO9001 or similar)Familiarity with Lean tools or structured problem-solving methods (e.g. 5 Whys, Ishikawa)Electro-mechanical knowledgeExperience analysing production or test dataIf you feel you are suitable and interested in this role, APPLY NOW with an up-to-date CV.
