Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant SEND schools and provisions across Bristol and Bath. This is a rewarding, full-time opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.
About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
2. Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
3. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver engaging, differentiated learning activities.
4. Support with behaviour management in a calm and consistent manner.
5. Foster a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.
✅ Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should:
6. Have experience working with primary-aged children (preferably in a school or SEND setting).
7. Be caring, patient, and adaptable in your approach.
8. Demonstrate a genuine interest in working with children with SEND.
9. Be able to manage behaviour effectively and positively.
10. Be willing to complete our National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTAP) if you don’t yet have formal experience.
11. Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle (due to school locations and potential need for flexibility).
12. Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
