Reporting directly to the Global Solutions CFO, this senior leadership role is responsible for leading the Consulting & Technology finance function, including the development and delivery of financial analysis, forecasting, planning, and budgeting across C&T. The role oversees financial control and transactional finance teams and drives finance transformation and change across C&T.
Following the recent integration of the Consulting and Technology business units to create the C&T sub-division, a short-term focus is to drive integration and operating model improvements through the consolidation of finance teams.
The role involves ownership of key financial reports for Exco/Board and other operational reports, providing deep financial analysis and insights to finance and operational leadership teams.
It also includes overseeing business partnering and FP&A functions to ensure accurate and timely financial forecasting and analysis, supporting P&L owners and functional heads, and delivering strong commercial analysis of financial performance across the C&T business unit.
The role requires leading and developing the FP&A team to support business growth and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of 33, including five direct reports across financial control, FP&A, and transactional finance.
* Design and innovate financial analytics, KPIs, forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes across the enlarged C&T business unit.
* Oversee the financial control function to ensure effective systems, processes, and controls.
* Develop and improve balance sheet reporting and controls across C&T.
* Drive transformation, operating model improvements, and efficiencies across the C&T business unit.
* Oversee the transactional finance team across C&T, aiming to maximize billing and liquidity effectiveness.
* Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Support the integration of Consulting and Technology units to align with the revised business model.
* Review and improve financial reporting and control environment, establishing relevant policies and controls.
* Collaborate with finance and operational leadership on financial assumptions and drivers to ensure rigorous analysis.
* Own the Davies C&T annual budget, supporting submissions and consolidations, and finalizing numbers for finance deliverables.
* Work with the business to produce forecasts, outlooks, and performance reports with insightful commentary.
* Oversee production of industry/capability performance reports, including margin and pricing analysis.
* Analyze revenue and communicate any leakage based on utilization reports and KPIs.
* Propose and implement improvements in finance activities, processes, and systems.
* Participate in selecting future FP&A tools for the group.
* Identify data quality issues and work with the team to resolve them, providing analysis and insights.
* Coach team members, identify development needs, and build a high-performing finance function.
* Oversee the production of annual accounts and manage the audit process.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* 5+ years of FP&A experience.
* Experience leading a finance function in a professional services business.
* Ability to present complex financial information clearly to executive and non-finance audiences.
* Expertise in accounting and office systems, such as MS Office.
* Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues and external contacts.
* Excellent communication skills to simplify technical information.
* High analytical skills and commercial awareness.
* Leadership confidence and ability to lead others.
* Availability to work 2 days in the Gracechurch Street, London office.
