The Healthcare Support Worker is part of the multidisciplinary team delivering care to patients.
The Health Care Support Worker carries out a range of care activities and tasks in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse, or another registered practitioner.
A Health Care Support Worker – Higher level -
1.
Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital

Records patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions. Recognise and appropriately escalates

Main duties of the job
Providing effective evidence-based care for patients referred to the service under the supervision of qualified practitioners
• Using personal effectiveness and knowledge to contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality, cost-effective service.
• Working together with multi-professional staff and patients/carers in all aspects of service improvement.
• Completing the Band 3 competency framework within the identified time scale
