JRRL are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join the Private Client team of an established, Law Firm in Sevenoaks. The team covers a wide variety of services including will drafting, succession planning, tax efficient lifetime giving, disputed Wills, creation administration and termination of Trusts, advice to Trustees and Beneficiaries. The right candidate will be a legal secretary from any side of legal, a professional secretary, not someone looking to become a fee earner. The role is fully office based to start however, 1 day a week from home could be arranged after probation. Duties for the Legal Secretary: To produce and amend documents with speed and accuracy To format, paginate, number and present documents in company style To proofread all work, checking for spelling and grammar To proactively work with the fee earners to ensure relevant documentation is produced to meet clients’ expectations and deadlines Manage diaries of allocated fee earners in Microsoft Outlook Arranging meetings/conferences Sending and responding to invites Process expense claims, payment requisition forms, returned advances To process all forms including new client form, new matter form, money laundering form, training course booking forms etc. To ensure that all electronic filing and paper-based filing is up to date and maintained at regular intervals To prepare narratives and bills and keep billing files up to date To carry out photocopying and scanning as required Person specification for the Legal Secretary: Strong administration experience Excellent communication skills Positive, enthusiastic and professional approach Ability to work independently and prioritise work streams Methodical approach to work and management of fee earners and team projects Strong attention to detail, high level organisational skills and reliable Self-motivated with an ability to use own initiative with a desire to learn 50 wpm typing speed Solid understanding of key IT packages to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel A team player with a desire to succeed and grow Good spelling and punctuation Benefits for the Legal Secretary: 25 days holiday (FTE) plus Bank Holidays Long Service holiday award – 1 extra week every 10 years continuous service Private Healthcare with BUPA (offered after probation is passed) Scottish Widows Pension Scheme (5% employer / 5% Employee) Staff Profit Share and Individual Performance Bonus Scheme Salary sacrifice (Pensions, Staff Profit Share) Life Assurance - 4 x salary / Permanent Health Insurance Paid CSR Day Enhanced Maternity/Paternity Leave Subsidised gym membership Electric car scheme Agile Working Policy Dress for your Day Policy This Legal Secretary role is a full-time permanent role.
