About the role
We're looking for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join the Butlin's Restaurants Department based in Skegness.
Description
Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will support the running of the kitchen and lead a team of up to 15. Making our guests smile is at the heart of our values, and you will ensure this happens consistently by keeping guests at the center of all operational decisions. This includes resource planning, recruitment, and selection to ensure we have the best team in place to deliver an exceptional service.
You will be passionate about providing an exceptional experience and will monitor this regularly to develop action plans with a focus on continuous improvement. Financial performance is also key; you will deliver food cost budgets through effective menu planning, cooking to standards and specifications. You will support food hygiene standards and health and safety compliance in line with legislation and company policies.
You will be a role model for Butlin's unique way of working, ensuring training schedules and performance development plans are in place for your team, inspiring them to deliver a great guest experience every time. This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a team in our main buffet restaurant serving guests on a half-board dining package.
About You
We are looking for individuals with experience in a similar role. If you're looking to step up to your next role in the kitchen, we'd love to hear from you.
You should be hardworking, reliable, and proactive, always seeking ways to improve team performance and guest satisfaction. Energetic, enthusiastic, high-spirited, and fun-loving candidates who understand their role and the value they add to the guest experience are ideal.
You must have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to maintain high standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing margins, controlling costs, and ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards are met.
Our chefs are special, and our guests love returning to our restaurants. The successful candidate should be fun, eager to participate, a team player, and committed to ensuring guests have a great time every visit.
Working Hours
Typically, hours are five days over seven, totaling 40 hours per week, with a bonus scheme included.
