As part of the organisation’s growth, they are looking to bring payroll in house, hence seeking a payroll professional on a part time basis.
The Payroll Job
This is a part-time Payroll job where you’ll take full responsibility from day one. The business currently outsources payroll but is now ready to bring it in-house properly. That means the role will include setting things up, making sense of complexity, and owning it end-to-end. There’s a mix of shift patterns, overtime, and multiple geographies, so you’ll need to be confident reconciling data across systems and making sure everything ties up.

Key responsibilities will include:
* Bringing payroll in-house and establishing processes
* Processing monthly payroll including overtime and shift patterns
* Reconciling payroll data against time & attendance systems
* Managing payroll for multiple locations (UK and overseas exposure beneficial)
* Handling HMRC submissions and statutory requirements
* Producing monthly payroll reports and analysis
* Acting as the main point of contact for payroll queries
The Requirements
* This is a stand-alone payroll job, and so it is essential you have the experience running payroll end-to-end with final sign off, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
* You must have strong Excel skills; comfortable reconciling multiple data sources making use of pivot tables and look up functions.
* Experience working with complex payroll is required - multiple shift patterns, overtime etc.
* Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate with autonomy and confidence.
* Experience with international payroll is beneficial but not essential
