Housing Management Coordinator

Pay £14.06 per hour (£27,500 per annum) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan.

Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week).

Penzance will be your main base, but the role also covers the Redruth area.


Overview

As the Housing and Property Lead, you will focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. You will provide a housing management service, supporting them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to secure, long‑term accommodation.


Responsibilities

* Make sure that our customers’ properties are homes they can be proud of, engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
* Help customers with housing benefit claims, ensuring they are received on their rent account.
* Issue and sign warning letters and notices where necessary, possibly attending court.
* Prepare rooms for the next customers to maximize occupancy, turning around vacant or void rooms/bed spaces/properties within set timescales.
* Ensure health and safety compliance and that maintenance standards are met.


Qualifications & Skills

* Experience in managing a housing caseload and handling landlord and housing management duties.
* Know‑how of re‑letting rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when required.
* Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to colleagues.
* The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
* Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and with external partners.


Practical Bits

* Monday to Friday 9‑5pm.
* Predominantly based at our service in Penzance, travelling around the properties in Penzance and Redruth, and working from our Camborne office.
* Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims, and facilitating tenancy sign‑ups.
* Provide a vehicle insured for business purposes; mileage will be reimbursed.
* Enhanced DBS check required – the cost is covered by us.
