GSL Education is working with a Special Needs school in Launceston that is seeking an SEN Support Assistant to join their team.
The school caters to children and young adults aged 4-16 with complex learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviours.
Your role will involve helping students become as independent as possible in daily life, encouraging their growth across all areas, and assisting with vital life skills. Responsibilities include supporting children with personal care needs such as changing, toileting, and dressing.
We are looking for:
Compassionate and patient SEN Support Assistants interested in full-time, long-term positions. Candidates should have an adaptable approach, a good sense of humour, and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Essential requirements:
* Experience supporting children with SEND (professional or personal)
* Strong interpersonal skills to connect with children and families
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting children with additional needs
* A collaborative approach working with teachers, parents, and professionals
* Availability to start ASAP on a full-time basis
Additional requirements:
* Must have a UK driving license and own car
* Business insurance (if successful at interview)
