Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a full-time Junior Accounts Assistant to join our Finance department. The successful candidate will work in a unique setting of a professional football club, experiencing a variety of tasks and collaborating across departments from the Academy to the First Team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, duties include:
1. Purchase ledger activities: inputting purchase invoices, creating purchase orders, reconciling supplier statements
2. Maintaining the cash book
3. Sales ledger activities: creating sales invoices and chasing debtors
4. General finance administrative tasks
Person Specification
This is an entry-level role. Some experience or finance-related training (such as AAT) is desirable but not essential. We seek a candidate who can demonstrate accuracy, efficiency, and transferable skills to fit well within our team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone starting or considering a career in finance. The candidate must adhere to confidentiality principles, have strong attention to detail, be well-organized, and approach work methodically.
