ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll support the Home Manager with reception, administrative, and basic finance activities to ensure the smooth running of the Home. As the first point of contact, you’ll demonstrate a professional and welcoming manner to visitors, residents, and staff. You will also be responsible for ensuring visitors follow infection control rules, coordinating testing requirements, organizing couriers, and handling related administrative tasks.
You will assist with planning and managing events in the home, such as celebrating residents’ milestone birthdays, fetes, employee presentations, or activities led by our Activities Coordinator.

Located on the outskirts of Malmesbury, Athelstan House is a purpose-built home with a large landscaped garden, offering residential, nursing, dementia, respite, intermediate, and day care for up to 80 residents in a modern setting.

ABOUT YOU
You should have experience in an administrative or reception role, be confident with Microsoft Office, and have experience handling cash and maintaining reports. GCSEs in Maths and English are preferred. Most importantly, you should be comfortable working in an elderly care setting, demonstrating caring and sensitive interaction with residents.
This role is busy and varied, requiring efficiency, organization, initiative, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially as the first point of contact for visitors.
