Join Our Diabetes Specialist Team Make a Difference!
Diabetes Healthcare Assistant - 22.Are you passionate about healthcare and eager to learn new skills? This is your chance to be part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary Diabetes Service, supporting patients in community, hospital, and domiciliary settings across Wiltshire. Working closely with Diabetes Specialist Nurses and Dietitians, you'll assist with essential care, digital diabetes technology, and structured education like Xpert courses. Full training and accreditation provided! Help empower people with diabetes by delivering guidance on glucose monitoring systems, mobile apps, and digital tools.
To undertake agreed clinical activities with patients under the direct and indirect supervision of the DSN.
To work at the pace of the patient with explanation in understandable language.
Flexible response to patient difficulty with technology or equipment.
To record all activity in the patient records according to HCRG policy.
To demonstrate and support the setup of glucose monitoring systems,

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Grade A-C in English
Ability to undertake training when in post
Experience of working with mobile phones, apps, email
Experience of working in a nursing environment
Previous experience as a healthcare assistant
Ability to use a computer
Ability to use a mobile phone & Apps
Must have a valid UK driving licence, use of a vehicle for business purposes and have business Insurance on the vehicle used.
