Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity to join a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development as a Cloud Engineer through exposure to challenging projects.
The Cloud Engineer will develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service across all aspects of service delivery, acting as a bridge between engineering and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:
* Train internal engineering staff and customers on products and solutions.
* Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
* Maintain awareness of customer incidents and report as necessary.
* Highlight trends, security threats, or technical bulletins impacting customers.
* Manage documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
* Follow internal and external processes for task management, reporting, and change control.
* Assist with Proof of Concept (PoC), Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
* Create TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW documentation.
* Perform peer reviews of technical documentation.
* Assist or lead in pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
* Participate in customer meetings such as support reviews and incident reviews.
* Ensure accurate and timely timesheet submissions.
* Link certifications and training to business objectives.
* Complete and submit overtime and expenses accurately.
* Adhere to GDPR and security policies regarding sensitive data and security incidents.
Who you are:
The ideal Cloud Engineer will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. We will support your development in these areas. You should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience in a support environment, with on-premise Cloud Services experience being advantageous.
* Desirable certifications include VCP 6.x-DCV and LPIC-2.
* Knowledge of networking, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure MFA, and VMware vCloud Director.
* Leadership qualities, ownership, and collaborative skills are essential.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required.
