ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Events Administrator to join our events team on a fixed-term basis, until March 2026. Based in London and reporting to the Head of Events, this role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to gain a wide set of skills and experience across our flagship brands – the New Statesman, Press Gazette and Spear’s.

The Events Administrator will support the Head of Events across a variety of networking breakfast events, roundtables, dinners and conferences. The role will incorporate guest management and speaker liaison.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

* On-site event support – greeting speakers and guests
* Deliver outstanding customer service to sponsors, clients and delegates throughout the process
* Develop and maintain strong relationships within the Press Gazette/Lifestyle brand communities, including liaising with event partners, stakeholders, speakers, and guests
* Working closely with the commercial and editorial team on invitation lists and finalising engaging agendas
* Collaborate closely with marketing, editorial and commercial teams to ensure audience alignment and be able to support in delivering engaging event agendas
* Invite guests and manage comms/queries in the lead up to the event
* Co-ordinating multiple rotating roundtables at events
* Provide regular updates, escalate any areas of concern and report on project progression to the Head of Events
* Manage multiple projects and tight deadlines simultaneously
* Assist sales teams on the creation of sponsorship packs, client materials and communications
* Assisting in the creation of event collateral with the marketing team
* Schedule meetings/briefing calls with the relevant stakeholders, ensuring timely reminders and accurate information are included

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* Enthusiastic individual keen to learn and understand different aspects of event management
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks
* Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
* Forward-thinking, creative and passionate about events
* Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Note, this role offers hybrid working, working from home one day per week.
