Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading private mental health provider, who are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join their team in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.
Working as a member of the transdisciplinary team, you\'ll ensure that high quality individualised care is delivered, which ensures safety and a commitment to promoting recovery, wellbeing, and maximising independence/quality of life. You\'ll work in partnership with residents and carers to set realistic goals and develop collaborative intervention plans, with regular reviews to monitor progress and adapt.
You will be HCPC registered, passionate about working with people with neurological conditions to support their rehabilitation, condition management and maximise their quality of life.
Responsibilities
* Completing neurological assessments, treatment planning and interventions
* Rehabilitation interventions to improve function and independence with ADLs
* Cognitive assessment/rehabilitation
* Using of therapeutic handling skills
* Assessing environment and equipment needs including specialist seating
* Liaising with community colleagues to facilitate complex discharge planning
Requirements / Qualifications
* Occupational Therapy profession qualification
* At least 4 years post qualifying experience
* Extensive and relevant post qualification clinical experience with adults who have complex needs
* Familiar with outcome measures such as FIM/FAM, CRS-R, WHIM and TOMS, and experience managing a designated caseload using knowledge of relevant Occupational Therapy theory
* Practical experience completing assessments, planning, implementing evidence-based Occupational Therapy interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans
You will be working at our two centres (on the same site) in Sawbridgeworth, which has a combined total of 132 beds. The two Centres deliver specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions, and brain or spinal injuries who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability. Recovery is assisted wherever possible, with emphasis placed on maximising each individual\'s abilities, comfort and quality of life.
