We are looking for a dedicated and supportive SEND Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school setting. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to thrive both academically and personally. Beginning October 2025. Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND. Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet the needs of all learners. Encourage students’ independence, confidence and social development. Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and the SENDCo. Support with classroom management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant: Experience working with young people in a school or educational setting (SEND experience is desirable but not essential). A patient, adaptable and caring approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills as SEND Teaching Assistant. Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. A willingness to learn and undertake relevant training.
