Your Role As a DT Teacher specialising in Resistant Materials, you will: * Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of contributing to Key Stage 5. * Deliver engaging, practical lessons that cover design processes, material knowledge, manufacturing techniques, and product evaluation. * Promote a safe and well-managed workshop environment and guide students in the proper use of tools and equipment. * Support curriculum development and contribute ideas to help keep the subject current, inclusive, and exciting. * Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and resilience through hands-on project work. * Get involved in department-led extra-curricular activities, such as STEM clubs, design competitions, or school exhibitions. ✅ Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking a qualified and passionate teacher who: * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching Resistant Materials or Product Design. * Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical, project-based learning. * Can create an inclusive classroom environment that supports a range of abilities and learning styles. * Has good classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards. * Works collaboratively and is excited to contribute to the continued development of the DT department.
