Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 per annum (optional bonus scheme for billing over targets) The successful candidate will benefit from taking over an existing client base and caseload of Wills, Probate, LPA's & Trusts cases. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor, Legal Executive or Wills & Probate Practitioner to join a well‑established and highly respected Private Client department based in Barnet area. This role offers high‑quality work, long‑standing client relationships and the chance to take on a key position within a growing team. We are seeking a confident and knowledgeable Private Client specialist with strong experience in Wills, Probate, LPAs and Estate Administration. The ideal candidate will have 8 years PQE, however strong applicants with 5 years PQE are also encouraged to apply and will be considered for interview. Key Responsibilities: Managing a varied caseload of Wills, Probate and Estate Administration matters Preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney Handling Court of Protection deputyship applications and related matters Advising on Trusts, tax planning and asset protection Providing clear, practical advice to clients and maintaining excellent client care standards Working independently while contributing to the wider Private Client team Essential Knowledge and Experience: Wills Probate and estate administration Lasting Powers of Attorney Court of Protection deputyship matters Trusts and tax planning Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision Desired Knowledge and Experience: Contested probate matters, including Inheritance Act claims and will disputes Essential Skills: Confident in handling a broad and active Private Client caseload Strong organisational and time‑management skills Clear, professional communication with clients Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team Desired Skills: Interest in helping develop and expand the Private Client department Proactive approach to client care and business development What's on Offer: £60,000 to £70,000 basic salary Optional bonus structure for billing over targets Paralegal/Secretary shared between 2 fee earners High‑quality Private Client work with long‑standing clients Hybrid working arrangements Supportive, friendly team environment with genuine progression opportunities Existing client base and caseload of Wills, Probate, LPA's & Trusts Requirements: Full clean driving licence Willingness to attend other offices when required to take instructions and support departmental growth Thanks for reading the full advert.
