E1 £39,224.42 to E3 £46,068.16 - pro rata for part time hours
The post holder is responsible, in conjunction with the Head of Clinical Quality & Safety for developing & reviewing policies and protocols in respect of Infection Control, and for developing, implementing and evaluating surveillance/audit programmes in line with the St Giles Hospice Infection Control Programme and Clinical Audit. Work will be generated by clinical service requirements across the Hospice, and by working closely with the Senior Leadership Team. The post holder will be required to demonstrate good organisational skills and initiative in order to manage their own workload. The unpredictable nature of infection control will require a flexible approach on behalf of the post holder.

Qualifications
* First Level Clinical Registration
* Post registration qualification in Infection Prevention and Control module
* Educated to degree level
Knowledge and experience
* Good oral and written communication presentation
* Experience in Palliative Care
* Experience of audit and/or risk management
* Aptitude for clinical reasoning and critical appraisal skills
* Participated in policy development/review
* Participated in teaching others
