We are a creative event production company offering primarily scenery, lighting and AV for a wide range of events, including product launches, corporate and private parties, presentations, festivals and meetings in the UK and occasionally Europe.

It is essential in this role that you have experience and a sound knowledge of scenic construction and project management in events that you can demonstrate on your CV.
This role requires technical knowledge and the ability to interpret clients design from concept to reality.
You will produce innovative, eye catching and memorable scenic design and interiors for a wide range of events from corporate and private events, conferences, product launches and weddings.
The postholder will be required to take client briefs, interpret client designs and work with our in house design and technical team to plan the production. Client negotiation, budgeting and crew management are an important part of the role. We expect a strong level of technical knowledge and on site experience. Our competent logistics team and crew provide assistance and back up to what is a demanding and busy role.

Duties:
Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure smooth running of assigned projects from initial design to the set up and breakdown process
2. Liase with clients; develop client’s ideas and requirements into creative quotes and drawing, respond to clients’ changing needs; problem solve.
3. Develop and research original design ideas.
4. Create or be able to brief visualiser where client requires visuals for a quote.
5. Liase with Technical Director where lighting design is required on a project.
6. Source materials, with an emphasis on finding materials and props that are the closest fit to all requirements.
7. Manage schedules for timely production, delivery and breakdown of sets in liaison with Office Assistant and Logistics.
8. Manage the production of sets in liaison with Warehouse production Manager, and freelance staff and with an awareness of the needs of other Project Managers.
9. Manage budgets; maintain budgets sheets, use staff and resources efficiently and effectively.
10. Quality Control; monitor the work of freelance worker and on site delivery
11. Undertake site visits as required.
Health and Safety
13. Have a working knowledge of health and safety requirements related to sets and materials used.
14. Provide Method Statements and risk assessments for Clients when requested based upon company H&S policy and documents.
Special Conditions
15. The holder of this post and the nature of our industry means that unsociable hours including evenings and weekends will be required on occasion.
Person specification:
The successful candidate will be,
* A good administrator with management experience
* Have a good knowledge and experience of set build practice
* Have experience in the Live event sector
* Be able to use design software such as Sketch up pro, Auto CAD, Adobe creative suite.
* have experience of logistics operations in a relevant sector
* have had successful experience of handling customers and sub contractors
* be organised and flexible
* be able to work on their own initiative to tight deadlines
* be a problem solver
Conditions of Service
Salary will depend upon the successful candidate’s previous experience and contribution they can make to the business.
The post is based on a 45-hour week, with a Six month trial period.
