Teacher of the Deaf
Crawley
£33,075- £50,471 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: ASAP
Vision for Education are urgently seeking a committed and dedicated teacher to work at a Secondary school in the Crawley area. We are searching for a teacher to cater to the needs of D/deaf and Visually Impaired students. This school aims to provide a personalised level of support to enable students to become independent learners and to promote the social inclusion within the school. The staff team consists of the Teacher in Charge/Teacher of the Deaf and a dedicated team of Communication Support Assistants. All staff within the department have training to BSL Level 2,3 or 6. The school provides a wireless FM system for each student to support the maximum use of residual hearing in the classroom.
Requirements:
The desired computing teacher will;
• an experienced teacher who will strive to improve the quality of education and learning opportunities of students who are deaf or have a hearing loss
• a teacher who can enthuse, motivate and engage students and is committed to excellence and high student achievement
• a teacher who can teach KS3 and KS4
• a teacher with a passion for working with young people and a perseverance to make a difference to them and their future
• a teacher with a focus on their own professional development and a drive to work with us to become the best teacher they can be
