Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - External Supply Chain
Working Pattern: 37 hours/week

Rolls-Royce offers a unique opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer - External Supply Chain within our Future Programmes, Electrical Controls & Instrumentation business unit, based in Derby.

Role Overview
As an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer - External Supply Chain, you will oversee Manufacturing Engineering activities in the External Supply Chain, ensuring manufacturing processes meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, and lead time requirements (SQCD). You will ensure product integrity aligns with design intent by collaborating with Design Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld within the supply chain.
2. Maintain product safety by ensuring manufacturing processes achieve design intent and conform to specifications, investigating safety issues.
3. Promote zero defects culture, collaborate with suppliers to embed quality, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
4. Apply manufacturing process controls and support technical reviews to ensure compliance and quality.
5. Support pre-contract activities by defining technical specifications and leading technical reviews.
6. Plan, manage, and communicate project schedules, resources, costs, and risks.
7. Develop and improve manufacturing processes and digital systems, capturing lessons learned for continuous improvement.
8. Review technical packages for acceptability and resolve technical issues related to production methods.
Candidate Profile
* HNC or degree in a relevant discipline.
* Experience in manufacturing environments.
* Self-motivated, flexible, team player.
* Knowledge of process improvement tools.
* Desirable: IPC 610/620 standards, GS3001 requirements, experience working with external suppliers, understanding of manufacturing processes and drawings.
