Site Agent opportunity with a specialist civil engineering and marine infrastructure contractor managing schemes across multiple sites. In this role, you will be the central decision-maker on the ground, trusted to run day-to-day operations, coordinate people and resources, and keep projects moving to time, cost and quality targets. You will have real ownership of your site, the freedom to solve problems, and the backing of an experienced project team. What you’ll be doing * Running the site day to day, organising labour, subcontractors, plant and materials so work progresses smoothly and efficiently. * Setting up and maintaining site logistics and traffic routes, leading daily briefings and toolbox talks to keep everyone informed and safe. * Tracking progress against programme, identifying risks or delays early and putting in place practical solutions, supported by accurate daily and weekly reporting. Safety, environment and quality * Taking clear ownership of health, safety and environmental standards on site, carrying out inspections, audits and risk assessments in line with legislation and company procedures. * Championing a positive safety culture, ensuring correct PPE, safe systems of work and thorough investigation and reporting of any incidents or near misses. * Making sure all works match design information and specifications, overseeing testing and inspections and keeping robust quality records so handovers are smooth and professional. Planning, cost and stakeholder management * Contributing to short- and medium-term planning, sequencing activities to maximise productivity and minimise downtime. * Monitoring labour, plant and material usage, providing reliable site data to support valuations, variations and claims, and helping to keep projects within budget. * Building strong working relationships with engineers, quantity surveyors, site teams, suppliers, subcontractors and client representatives, representing the company confidently at meetings and progress reviews. Skills, experience and what you’ll gain * Proven leadership and organisational skills, with the confidence to direct teams, make decisions and communicate clearly at all levels. * Solid understanding of construction techniques, sequencing and temporary works, and the ability to read and apply drawings, specifications and contract documents (NEC or JCT). * HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar, plus CSCS (Site Manager or Supervisor) and SMSTS; First Aid at Work, Temporary Works Supervisor and other site tickets are an advantage. * 3–5 years’ site management or supervisory experience, ideally including marine or civil engineering schemes, giving you a strong platform to progress into more senior project roles.
