As a Clerk, you'll have an out-of-the-ordinary role. You will be responsible for creating and issuing personnel and vehicle passes to all RAF Shawbury personnel and visitors, in accordance with the RAF Shawbury Control of Entry Policy, supporting the HADES contract. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Issuing permanent passes and permits, providing assistance and guidance on the pass application process, and issuing temporary passes when required by guardroom staff.
2. Controlling and safeguarding the custody of passes and permits prior to issue. Blank security forms are Unclassified, while blank ID cards are Sensitive documents and must be safeguarded according to JSP440 (Military Policy control entrance policy - Joint service publication).
3. Performing completion checks before issuing passes or permits, including security checks following GDPR regulations.
4. Collecting documentation for BPSS vetting of passes and permits for dependants, contractors, and social personnel, ensuring all documentation is correctly completed.
This is a part-time role, working 16.25 hours per week on Monday and Tuesday (6.5 hours each) and Wednesday (3.25 hours), based onsite at RAF Shawbury.
Essential experience for the Clerk includes:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong IT skills.
* Experience working in environments with GDPR requirements.
