Position:Nursery Chef Salary:Up to £28,000pa + excellent further training and career progression opportunities Hours:40 hours, Mon Fri, no weekends or evenings As a nursery chef, you'll prepare and cook nutritional and balanced meals and desserts for all the children in the nursery and make substitutions depending on each individual's dietary requirements. You're the best at 1. Preparing well-balanced and nutritious meals in accordance with agreed menu plans for all the children that attend our nurseries 2. Using fresh ingrediants 3. Training the Kitchen Assistants in all areas, particularly in health & safety and hygiene 4. Undertaking daily cleaning schedule, such as mopping, sweeping, wiping surfaces, and cleaning cookers, kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery 5. Keeping paperwork and records up to date to be used for future reference for the safety of everyone consuming food 6. Taking stock of all dry and frozen foods before an order and communicating this with the manager
