Regular Locum ANP / Nurse Prescriber Primary Care
We are looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Independent Nurse Prescriber to support our growing GP practice.
Requirements
* Strong primary care experience
* Confident managing acute and chronic presentations
* Able to support chronic disease management where required
* Competent with requesting and interpreting blood tests
* Confident in prescribing and medication management
* Able to work independently with appropriate clinical judgement

* Assess, diagnose, and manage acute cases
* Support chronic disease management where needed
* Prescribe independently
* Request and interpret blood tests
* Maintain accurate clinical records
* Work with GP and MDT team

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
* Evidence of ongoing CPD and revalidation
* Indemnity cover appropriate for extended clinical role
* Previous experience working in a GP practice or primary care setting
* Experience using clinical systems such as EMIS or SystmOne
* Ability to manage minor illness clinics independently
* Experience in chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD)
* Knowledge of local referral pathways and community services
* Ability to work efficiently in a high demand environment
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Experience in telephone and digital consultations
* Willingness to support service development and quality improvement
