Housing Options Triage Officer

Pay range
Grade 6 Salary range: £31,158 - £33,940 per annum.
Working across Andover and Romsey – 37 hours per week, Fixed Term 18 Month Contract.
Responsibilities
* Conduct initial triage assessments and identify urgent housing needs.
* Monitor inboxes and referrals, gather information from professionals and customers.
* Support Housing Options Officers with investigations and casework.
* Maintain accurate case notes and ensure compliance with housing legislation.
* Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
* Signpost to wider support services to address the root causes of homelessness.
About the role
We are looking for a proactive and compassionate individual to join our Housing Options Triage Team. The role is fast‑paced and involves being the first point of contact for residents at risk of homelessness—by phone, email, or face‑to‑face. Rapid assessments are carried out, tailored advice is provided, and customers are connected with the right support at the right time.
Dynamic, customer‑focused individuals who thrive in a busy and demanding environment are encouraged to apply. A desire to help support people while managing expectations is essential.
The role involves time in both Andover and Romsey offices, with some flexibility for home working.
