My client is an Irish based Engineering and Project Management Consulting practice serving all sectors of the construction industry.
They have secured the Design and Construction Management roll out for a major Electric Vehicle charging network throughout the UK.
They are seeking to appoint a Project Manager with a Civil/Structural Engineering background. The role is a permanent position offering the candidate the opportunity to manage specific projects and aid further expansion of the practice into the UK. The candidate will ideally be located in the Midlands or North West region and be prepared to travel nationwide.
Responsibilities:
* Civil engineering design including roads, car parking and sustainable storm-water drainage design.
* Planning and managing CAD documentation, working closely with our Engineering design team.
* Attend on-site meetings with the client and other members of the design team.
* Carry out site inspections to ensure compliance with design and coordination of reporting etc..
* Responsibility to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed timescales, quality and costs.
* Ensure compliance with the relevant Health and Safety legislation.
* The candidate will have the opportunity to become involved in business development activities through growing relationships with new and existing UK based clients.
Role Requirements:
* A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
* Minimum of 5-10 years postgraduate experience in a Civil/Structural Engineering consultancy role.
* Ideally be Chartered or actively working towards Chartership.
* Experience of working closely with Clients and other members of the design team.
* Competency in AutoCAD essential.
* This role will suit an Engineer who has gained strong design skills and is now seeking to advance their project management skills.
* Possess excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills.
* Full-clean driver’s license.
The salary on offer is around 75-85k and there will be a company vehicle, pension and bonus scheme.
