About the team we are recruiting to
Join our dedicated team at Castle Wood, a vibrant special needs school supporting 167 pupils aged 3 to 11 with a range of needs, including PMLD, SLD, ASD, and complex behavioural challenges. We're passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.

What is the job role?
As part of the team, you will help keep our school clean, safe and welcoming by carrying out a range of cleaning duties, including:
* Mopping, sweeping, buffing and vacuuming floors
* Dusting and polishing surfaces
* Emptying bins
* Cleaning toilets and washrooms
* Using powered cleaning equipment in designated areas, following the school’s standards
Working pattern:
* 15 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 3:15pm – 6:15pm)
* Term time only, including teacher training days
* Plus one additional week during school holidays for deep cleaning tasks

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is:
* Hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic, committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
* Able to work independently and as part of a team, showing flexibility and a positive attitude
* Ideally experienced in cleaning within a similar environment
* Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills, and can build positive working relationships with colleagues and the wider school community

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.
