The Vacancy
Wates Property Services (WPS) are looking to appoint an experienced Plasterer to join our Responsive Maintenance team, working across occupied social housing properties in the Skelmersdale area.
This is a hands‑on role delivering high‑quality repairs and maintenance works, ensuring properties are left safe, compliant, and to a high standard for residents.
The Role
1. Carrying out plastering works as part of responsive maintenance repairs
2. Working within occupied social housing properties
3. Delivering a high standard of workmanship with a strong focus on customer care
4. Working independently and as part of a wider trade team
5. Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company standards
What We’re Looking For
6. NVQ Level 2 in Plastering (essential)
7. Proven experience working as a plasterer, ideally within social housing or responsive maintenance
8. Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
9. Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with residents
10. Ability to manage your own workload effectively
