Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to shape the educational journey of learners with special needs?
You will play a key role in delivering an engaging curriculum that caters to the diverse learning needs of our amazing learners and fosters a love of learning. Our curriculum follows a thematic approach to best support our learners' needs, promoting creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
As a teacher at any of our provisions, your key responsibilities will include:
* Delivering engaging and adapted lessons within our thematic curriculum, catering to the diverse learning needs of learners with special needs.
* Monitoring and assessing learner progress and working collaboratively with support staff to implement effective teaching strategies.
* Contributing to the development and implementation of effective intervention strategies to support learner progress.
* Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment within the classroom that promotes the learning, personal development, and well-being of all learners.
* Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Rivermead provisions to share best practices.
* Participating in the school’s staff development programme through coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
* Contributing to the wider life of the school and upholding its commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Qualifications
* Who has a passion for Humanities.
* A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
* Experienced in teaching at a secondary or primary level, with an understanding of the KS3/KS4 curriculum.
* Possesses a deep understanding of the needs of learners with special educational requirements.
* Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Shows a commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting learners with special needs.
