About The Role Join the RAC and become a pivotal part of our inspections team as a Vehicle Inspector. We offer a range of flexible shift patterns, including Monday to Friday, Saturday to Wednesday, and Wednesday to Sunday. All patterns include rostered additional rest‑day working, giving you greater flexibility to balance work and life. As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for: Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template Completing used vehicle condition reports Collaborating with team members to maintain daily site inspections Engaging with customer contacts to ensure high‑quality service delivery What we're looking for To excel in this role, you must have: An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous) Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels A full UK driving licence What we offer In recognition of your hard work and commitment, we provide: A competitive base salary of £27,850 with potential to boost earnings with bonus and overtime.
