Your Role as a Materials Testing Technician:
* Youll be field based, predominantly covering a region but with further UK travel as needed.
* You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of this testing equipment and instrumentation.
o Examples include impact, tensile, universal, fatigue, stress, or torsion testing.
* You will be working within a variety of appealing manufacturing sectors including the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries, amongst others.
* You will play an important role in ensuring the equipment is correctly calibrated and maintained to UKAS standards.
* Compile detailed reports as appropriate.
* The field-based nature of the role will require nights away from home; on average of 1 - 2 per week.
Ideal Background for the Materials Testing Technician:
* Knowledge of destructive Materials Testing equipment is essential, specifically on impact, tensile, universal, fatigue, stress, or torsion testing is mandatory.
* Approachable, honest, and a team player.
* A strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 would be beneficial.
* A genuine interest in becoming a field-based service and calibration engineer on materials testing rigs.
* Strong IT and communication skills.
* Hold a full valid UK driving licence and have right to work in the UK as sponsorship cant be provided.

* £30,000 - £40,000 basic salary, depending on experience
