Salary Range:£1,413 - £5,652 per annum, plus additional incident call out payments
Hours per week:Minimum of 31 on-call hours per week

The Role:
An on-call firefighter is a paid person employed by the fire and rescue service who is ‘on call’ to respond to emergencies and engage with their community. They have everyday lives and jobs until their pager sounds, then they become professional firefighters.
They are trained and experienced individuals on the front line, saving lives and protecting communities. They receive thorough training and develop personal skills related to emergency situations.
On-call firefighters come from all areas of the community, including full or part-time employment, self-employment, studying, or unemployment. They dedicate time to assist the fire and rescue service and protect their communities.
This role is demanding but offers the chance to make a real contribution. You will work closely with team members and participate in community events.
They are involved in various situations beyond fighting fires, such as community fire safety, flooding, co-responding, road accidents, chemical spills, and animal rescues.
Previous Experience: No prior experience is necessary as training is provided. Enthusiasm and meeting essential requirements are important. Physical fitness is crucial as the role can be physically demanding.
Eligibility: Applicants must live or work within 4 minutes of the Fire Station; otherwise, applications will be rejected.
