Purpose of the role:
Responsible for all aspects of technical product development for Pretty Green.
The successful candidate must have experience working in a fast-paced menswear environment, and have experience working as part of a small team, while being comfortable working independently and managing the department's critical path.
The role is ultimately responsible for ensuring the department achieves the key critical path dates while maintaining high standards and delivering great garments.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Ensure the fit and quality of products is of the highest standard.
* Create and maintain detailed tech packs.
* Support product teams to meet margin targets.
* Manage sample submissions and maintain the critical path across all product categories.
* Onboard new suppliers.
* Ensure bulk production complies with all regulations and in-house standards, with relevant paperwork stored centrally.
* Ensure all products are fitted and approved within the critical path timeline.
* Communicate clear and precise fitting comments, including illustrated fit changes.
* Drive consistency in fit and quality through the development and approval processes.
* Communicate testing requirements and resolve issues as they arise.
* Build and maintain the supplier manual, providing suppliers with all necessary details for success.
What you'll need:
* Experience working in a fast-paced mono-brand environment.
* Technical background in garment construction with knowledge of complex designs (e.g., hoods, cuff details).
* Broad technical experience with casual and semi-formal products across clothing, accessories, and footwear.
* In-depth knowledge of the production process, including test reports.
* Commercial acumen and the ability to challenge constructively.
* Understanding of manufacturing compliance.
* Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Proactive and hands-on approach.
* Collaborative team player who can work well independently.
