An exciting opportunity has arisen for a GP Receptionist/ Administrator to join the Practice Team at Brynmawr Medical Practice.
As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. This is a varied and fast-paced position requiring excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
Answering high volumes of telephone calls and booking appointments
Processing repeat prescription requests
Managing patient enquiries and directing to appropriate services

Supporting clinicians and management with administrative tasks

Knowledge of administrative systems, admission, patient information systems, clerical / office procedures, data input procedures acquired through on-the job training
Qualifications/Experience

Basic numeracy and literacy skills e.g. GCSE/ O Level, English and Maths
Experience in a customer-facing role, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Administrative skills, including data entry, managing appointments, and handling correspondence

Experience of working with GP clinical systems
